The Best Moisturizing Deep Conditioners for Dry Hair

The Best Moisturizing Deep Conditioners for Dry Hair

hihi everyone, I hope you are well whereever you are!

Today I’m sharing my list of some of the best moisturizing deep conditioners I have used for my 4c hair which is prone to dryness. This post was inspired by a recent situation I found myself in lol, I picked up the Honey Moisture mask from the Doux because it said it was moisturizing and I didn’t really pay attention to the ingredients! Only to discover the 2 forms of protein in it were actually too much for my hair, in addition to the other deep conditioners I was using which also had protein in it! haha

Moral of the story- pay attention to ingredients! Avoid ingredients like: Hydrolyzed keratin, silk protein, wheat protein, soy protein, collagen, or amino acids if you are protein sensitive or alternate with other products that contain a lot of protein.

So today’s list will be protein free moisturizing deep conditioners I have used that worked really well for me. I have 4c hair which is prone to dryness, medium density and fine strands. Out of my list below, I have used 3 of them and the other 2 are products I would like to try after I finish my current rotation.

TGIN Honey Miracle hair Mask. This mask changed the game for me! It was one of the first ones I got last year when I started my healthy hair journey. my full review is here and its £16 at Kiyo Beauty

Keracare Deep Moisturizing Mask. Last year was a big year for Keracare in my collection lol. I tried a lot of the products from the natural textures line. A lot were hits, some were just ok. Whilst this one doesn’t leave my hair as soft as the TGIN, I still like it. Its on LF for £13.70

Amika Hydro Rush intensive moisture mask. This is my current moisture treatment and it is AMAZING. It’s worth the hype! Amika got my attention after I used the Dream routine overnight moisture treatment and I thought to give this mask a go since it was so popular. I love it and I will repurchase! Its available at Cult beauty for £33. I will do my full review once I’m half way through it

Now onto the ones I havent used yet but Ive researched and would love to try

Briogeo Superfoods Avocado + Kiwi Mega Moisture Superfood Mask. This brand has been on my list since last year when I fell in love with the Dont despair repair hair mask. This is a protein free mask rich in conditioning ingredients. I hope its as good as the one I love. This is at Boots for £33.

MOROCCANOIL Intense Hydrating Mask . There are 2 versions of this and I would like to try the intense version for my 4c hair. Again protein free and rich in conditioning and emollient ingredients, I’m hoping it will work well for my hair

Tips

I’ve been buying the travel sized version of products I would like to try first and testing them out before investing in the full size! I love this for me because I get to save money especially if I end up not liking it. I wish more products had smaller versions for testing though but this is such a great hack.

I hope you found this post helpful. Please share your fav protein free hair masks with tme- I would love to hear your recommendations!

catch you later
