Canon R50
The Canon R50 is one of the more stellar APS-C performer in recent years. The device boasts a 24.2MP CMOS sensor, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, and UHD 4K30p video recording. The camera has ISO up to 51,200, 651 autofocus points, 2.36m-dot viewfinder, and 1.62m-dot rear touchscreen LCD. It can capture 28 JPEGs at 15 fps of burst rate. So why one should buy an APS-C today? Speaking about this, we said in our review, “The Canon EOS R50 has an intelligent, quick autofocus system that’s going to give new photographers a leg up. Mixed in with the simplified controls, easy auto mode, flipping touchscreen, and $680 price point, it’s an attractive option for beginners.”
Canon EOS R6 Mk II

One of the full frame mirrorless cameras on this list, the Canon R6 II is quite excellent in many ways. It houses a 24MP sensor, 4K/60p 10-bit internal video recording, 40 fps continuous shooting, and 5-axis image stabilization. The camera has 1,053 automatic autofocus points, 3.69m-dot viewfinder with 120 fps refresh rate, and autofocus sensitivity to -6.5. The device excels at ergonomics, build, image quality, and its versatility. “The camera boasts new bells and whistles enthusiasts will appreciate while rarely missing a frame,” we said in our review. “Even seasoned pros will have fun with new panning and intelligent autofocus features.”
Canon R100

Beginner friendly mirrorless cameras are all the rage now. The Canon R100 is one such offering in the vast photo world. Like the R50, the R100 has a 24MP APS-C sensor, DIGIC 8 image processor, and UHD 4K 24p video recording option with crop. It boasts 3975 autofocus points, multiple creative filters, and a burst rate of 6.5 fps. The image quality is great for its price, the auto mode is intelligent, and its compct and lightweight. “The Canon R100 is good for affordable snapshots for consumers that are never really going to get off of auto mode,” we said in our review, “The image quality to price ratio is quite good, but it sacrifices speed and user experience in order to get there.”
Canon RP

The Canon RP may be old, but still it seems to be the most sought after mirrorless device. With 4779 autofocus points, the RP also has a 26MP sensor, 1.04 million dot LCD screen, and 5fps shooting. It was once the smallest and lightest ILC full frame camera, featuring weather sealing, great image quality, and the same build as the Canon 6D Mk II. “The Canon EOS RP also has reliable autofocus in all types of lighting,” we said about its performance. “It isn’t the fastest but it works. We also never really had any issues with missed focus providing the subjects were still. Combine this with the metering that lends itself to Sunny 16 well and the ease of use, and you’ve got a pretty darned good camera at least for fun.”
